I am the daughter of Vera and Bent Skindhøj, the founders of Heart for Africa, and I grew up in Africa. Therefore, I have a great love for the Central African Republic, which is like a second home to me. I have many fond memories of the country and I feel closely connected to my African “brothers and sisters”. My wish is to see them rise from poverty and ignorance and become a strong and proud nation.
It is my belief that this is possible through HfA‘s vision. At this time, the country is ravaged by war and violence, but I believe that HfA can make a huge effort to bring reconciliation due to its deep knowledge of the population.
I am 38 years old and I live in the middle of Jutland with my husband Claus and our four children. I am a nurse and work at Viborg Hospital. My family means a lot to me, so here I spend most of my free time. I also enjoy singing in a gospel choir and I am active in our church’s children’s church. I have previously also been active as a leader in the FDF (a Danish organization for children) and as a manager in a private playroom.
